This site uses one kind of optional cookie: Google Analytics. Nothing is set until you accept, and the site works exactly the same if you don't.
If you click Accept, the site loads Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful and how they arrive. That information is used to decide what to write and what to improve. It is not used for advertising, it is not combined with other data about you, and it is not sold.
If you click Reject, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is never loaded and no request is sent to Google.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |

| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the name echelon-consent-v1, so the banner doesn't appear on every page. It holds only 'granted' or 'denied' and the date. It is strictly necessary for the banner to work, so it does not need consent. You will be asked again after twelve months.
Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page, or this button:
If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops loading from your next page view. To remove cookies already set, clear them in your browser's settings.
